One of the singular pleasures associated with the practice of law lies in meeting other legal practitioners who share the same passion for participating in our system of justice.  Over his years in practice, the firm’s founder has met and worked with numerous very fine attorneys, and the members of this collegial body of practitioners (and friends) call upon one another when they need an extra pair of hands.

This happens from time to time particularly in litigation.  A case can be fairly dormant for a period of several weeks and then suddenly some factual investigation yields information suggesting that there might be real benefit in taking some depositions and possibly filing a partial motion for summary judgment.  Because lawyers try to keep their schedules fairly full, when a case heats up suddenly, it is only natural that a lawyer will turn to other lawyers he knows and trusts to lend a hand.

The key to success, when multiple lawyers from different firms team up to serve the needs of a single client, is for there to be careful coordination of effort, so that, from the client’s perspective, it really appears that there is “one team” working to serve his interests.  The founder is a big believer in effective coordination, and has a long track record of seamlessly joining, and contributing to, teams of lawyers in whatever supporting capacity the circumstance requires.
